Search for D0−D0 Mixing

We report on a search for D0−D0 mixing made by a study of the ‘wrong-sign’ process D →K+π−. The data come from an integrated luminosity of ee collisions at √ s ≈ 10GeV consisting of 9.0 fb, recorded with the CLEO-II.V detector. We measure the time-integrated rate of the ‘wrong-sign’ process D → Kπ, relative to that of the Cabibbo-favored process D →K+π−, to be Rws = (0.34 ± 0.07 ± 0.06)%. We st...

D0-D0 Mixing at BABAR

measure the rate of mixing with the observable yCP = (τKπ/τKK)− 1, where τKK and τKπ are respectively the mean lifetimes of CP-even D0 → K+K− and CP-mixed D0 → K−π+ decays. A new BABAR measurement of the mixing parameter yCP is presented for the first time in this conference. This new result is in good agreement with a previous BABAR measurement, obtained from a sample of D∗+ → D0π+ events, whe...

Evidence for D0-D0 mixing.

We observe evidence for D(0)-D(0) mixing by measuring the difference in the apparent lifetime when a D(0) meson decays to the CP eigenstates K(+)K(-) and pi(+)pi(-) and when it decays to the final state K(-)pi(+). We find the relative difference of the lifetimes y(CP) to be [1.31+/-0.32(stat)+/-0.25(syst)]%, 3.2 standard deviations from zero. We also search for a CP asymmetry between D(0) and D...

RD-flatness and RD-injectivity

It is proved that every commutative ring whose RD-injective modules are Σ-RD-injective is the product of a pure semi-simple ring and a finite ring. A complete characterization of commutative rings for which each artinian (respectively simple) module is RD-injective, is given. These results can be obtained by using the properties of RD-flat modules and RD-coflat modules which are respectively th...

The D0 Upgrade

In this paper we describe the approved DO Upgrade detector, and its physics capabilities. The DO Upgrade is under construction and will run during the next Fermilab collider running period in early 1999 (R un II). The upgrade is designed to work at the higher luminosities and shorter bunch spacings expected during this run. The major elements of the upgrade are: a new tracking system with a sil...
